Iraqi metalheads rocks Istanbul - 22 Dec 07

Look at this awesome report done by al-Jazeera English on the fearsome foursome, indeed, as evidenced by the VBS.TV documentary before, Marwan still is the most impressive person of the lot and he's still the only one who exudes a cool-guy aura with his deep voice, this one made me yearn back to hungry days rocking in my bedroom. Good luck guys, i hope you do write something good finally...

I have not really heard their music. They might be good. But, claiming they are the only Iraqi rock band is kinda "hambala". Don't you think?
Well. I am sure you know better in the Iraqi Rock society than I do.
Good luck to them.

First of all happy eid al new year, for you it goes unnoticed perhaps, but this year the limit for fireworx went up and it's pretty obvious here. I'd been wondering what its good for.

Next i feel like voicing and perhaps hearing an opinion about the awakening system in irak.
Like many times before it feels like this or these irakis are actually pitted against another.

What i would expect, in irak , is that the people usually associating
with 'al kaide' generally are just iraki. Not especially more rude or brutal then other users of violence in irak. I wonder if by becoming pitted, once again, against another, irakis will achieve much.
otoh i hardly take al qauda serious, even in irak, regional counsils or locals just associate with a few causes and become organised groups.

I think irak should try to overcome the internal difficulties and just be a modern state, perhaps it doesn't do right to all the federalism? Or the situation is too mixed up with stresses like the pakistani, afghan, the pressure on other states..

Also i think iraqis should not hurry to blame Iran, it is very improbable that the nato would have allowed iran that much interference. It's actually been quite a militairy and rather unincedentual commitment to patrol that border, and there are still airplanes and satelites at that.

I think that local , that is middle east, sympathy is as important in creating a stable planet as is international.
